Welcome to The Atheneum School

Founded in 1994, Atheneum is an independent co-educational college preparatory school in Anchorage Alaska. Atheneum offers a challenging academic program for students from grades 6 thru 12. The program aims to engage students with the most distinguished minds of civilization through the study of great texts. Atheneum graduates are well prepared for higher education and matriculate to the colleges and universities of their choice.

For a detailed description of the school's program see its Bulletin. Atheneum School's PTSA publishes the semiannual Q.E.D. Journal, which includes articles, poetry, and other writings from students, parents, and instructors. The school offers Summer programs open to the public for students of ages 12 and up.
